Bio:  I have been on the staff at ASHAR since 2002. The best part of working at ASHAR is interacting with the children. They give meaning to my job and I look forward to seeing them each day.

Before coming to ASHAR, I worked in the New York City school system for a number of years. I taught 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th grades. I also taught in a pre school for a short time. I attended Fairleigh Dickinson University for my undergraduate degree, and received a B.S. in elementary education, with a minor in history. I then went on to get a masters in reading from Lehman College.

I have a wonderful husband and three terrific sons – ages 31, 29 and 26. We also have an adorable Pug (Alvin), who is a very important member of our family
