Bio: After spending the last nine years in Brooklyn, NY, I moved back to Rockland County with my husband and three children. I grew up in Warwick, NY and spent my teen years in Rockland. Being the Resource Room Director at ASHAR has given me the opportunity to be part of this wonderful community.

Prior to joining the ASHAR team I worked at the Board Of Education in Brooklyn, NY. I was the Special Education component of a CTT (Collaborative Team Teaching) class for third and fourth grade. Before that I worked in a private school teaching third grade for two years.

I have a dual Master’s Degree in General and Special Education (Grades 1-6) and am certified by New York State to teach in both areas.

After five years as a graphic designer in the advertising world, I decided to change careers and go into education. It is a decision that I have never looked back on. The bottom line is, I love children and being able to contribute to their futures.
