Department/Classes Taught: Menahel / Dean, Director of Limudei Kodesh

Bio:  Rabbi Ari Jacobson, dynamic and dedicated Rav of Young Israel of Monsey and Wesley Hills, joins our ASHAR family as Menahel/Dean.  He is already very well-acquainted with our Yeshiva, not only through his role as a "hands-on" community rav, but as the proud and grateful father of three ASHAR graduates and five current students.  His wife Debby is our Yeshiva's longtime seventh-grade girls' mechanechet and Chesed Coordinator.

Rabbi Jacobson is a musmach of Yeshivas Rabbeinu Yitzchak Elchanan, and earned a Masters degree in Education and Administration at the Azrieli Graduate School, as well as a Bachelors degree in Economics at Yeshiva University.

Prior to assuming his current position, he served as a popular rebbe at Yeshiva University for nearly twenty years, forging meaningful and lasting relationships with his talmidim, many of whom continue to join the Jacobson family for Shabbatot and Yamim Tovim.  Rabbi Jacobson has also taught at Yeshiva of Los Angeles High School for Girls and Yeshiva Ohr Sameach, among other venues, and,  for thirteen years,  held the position of Rosh Kollel/Director of James Striar Summer Kollel.  He has also recently begun taping and posting shiurim online as part of the Naaleh project.

In each of his various administrative and teaching roles, Rabbi Jacobson has exuded warmth, commitment, and concern, qualities he hopes will go a long way in ensuring that ASHAR continue to flourish as a first-rate makom Torah committed to providing a premier general education, Ahavat Yisrael, and love of Israel.

Rabbi Jacobson takes pride in remaining accessible, and is happy to meet with parents at their convenience.  His true pride, however, is the nachas of watching our young charges happily and energetically absorb the lessons that will one day allow them to make their mark in this world as true mekadshei shem shamayim.
