Ongoing Programs

The following programs run throughout the year (including the summer!).  They cost you nothing, but benefit the school.
 

Sefer Torah Campaign

Launched with great excitement at our recent Annual Scholarship Dinner, students, families, friends, and supporters now  have the opportunity to participate in the special mitzvah of writing a sefer Torah.  The welcoming of our Yeshiva's new Torah scroll will highlight a gala chanukat ha'bayit  of  our beautiful new Beit Midrash, scheduled for completion next year.

Matching Gift Programs

Many corporations will match your donation to ASHAR dollar for dollar.  Corporations that we currently get matching grants from include: Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, GE, Bank of New York, Mellon Bank, Arthur Gallegher, Deutsche Bank, IBM and Wachovia.  To find out more, please contact our business office.

Use "GoodSearch" - and Make Every Search Count!!

Use the GoodSearch (www.goodsearch.com) website (powered by the Yahoo! search engine) for all your online searches!   Simply designate "ASHAR" in the "Who Do You GoodSearch For" and ASHAR will earn money for each search you execute.

  Shop "GoodShop" Every Time!

Each time you make online purchases using the GoodShop portal, ASHAR earns a percentage of the sale!  Many popular shopping sites participate in this program (ie: Barnes and Noble, Amazon, Best Buy, eBay, GAP etc.).  Just go to www.goodshop.com and select and verify "ASHAR" in the "Who Do You GoodShop For?" field.

Target "Take Charge of Education" Program

Use your Target credit card and a percentage of your purchase will be donated to the school of your choice (ASHAR, of course).  ASHAR's school ID is 11814.  Visit www.target.com/tcoe to enroll your Target REDcard.   Learn more.

"Coke Rewards" Program

Help us earn great prizes through our Coke Rewards account.  Please collect all Coke brand bottle caps, PowerAde caps, and 12 packs or larger of soda cans.  A collection receptacle is located in the main office.  Already have an account?  You can donate points from your account to ours!  Search mycokerewards.com/schools and follow the links.  For more information, please click or contact Rabbi Yissie Steinhart.

Cartridge and Cell Phone Recycling

Turn your trash into money for your school!  Bring your used toners, inkjet cartridges and old cellphones into the main office and we will recycle them for you.  In return, the school gets cash to spend on those little "extras."  If you run a local business that has a large quantity of toners/inkjets, we can even arrange for a pickup at your location.  Please contact Aliza Klein for more information about this program.

Box Tops forEducation

Collect Box Tops from products such as your cereal boxes (General Mills), Fruit Roll Ups (Betty Crocker) or Ziploc bags, among many other products, and drop them off in the main office.  As a bonus, if your child writes his/her name on the back of the Box Top, he/she is entered in a monthly drawing!  For more information about the program and participating products, go to the Box Tops for Education website or contact Karen Rosenthal at ASHAR (Ext. 1).

Jewish Press Points

Clip and hand in your Jewish Press Points and help our school earn money that can be used towards the purchase of Jewish software and seforim.

French Toast Partnership

New this year, we have signed up with French Toast, a reasonably priced retailer of boys and girls school wear.  For every purchase made (using ASHAR's code - QS5CGTG), the PTA will receive 5%!  Catalogues will be available in the school office or you can shop online.
